Caring for someone can be costly. The Australian Government recognise this cost and value the support that you offer those that you care for. Carer Gateway: financial help section has information on different types of carer payments and concession card that can help you to continue to care.
Services Australia provide information about different payments available for carers.
There are also payments available to support you when someone close to you dies. Services Australia provide information in their Death and bereavement section.

To assist aged care homes that specialise in caring for people who were homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, the Australian Government offer a Homeless Supplement for aged care under the AN ACC funding model.

Many aged care services are subsidised by the Australian government to help older people to have fair access to care. People are expected to contribute to care costs if they can afford to. To help allied health professionals transition into rural and remote health service Services for Australian rural and remote allied health (SARRAH) provide training and education that will help you to be more culturally aware.

If you are caring for a veteran and they require an increase in services, the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) website explains the services that are funded by DVA. For example Veterans Home Care (VHC), Coordinated Veterans' Care (CVC) Program and other home nursing and allied health services are available.
