What is QuoCCA?

The Quality of Care Collaborative Australia (QuoCCA) project is set to deliver paediatric palliative care education to health professionals in urban, rural, regional and remote areas who may care for children and young people with palliative and end-of-life care needs.

Since 2014, the QuoCCA project education activities have been made possible through funding provided by the Commonwealth Government as part of the National Palliative Care Projects initiative.

QuoCCA aims to improve the quality of palliative care provided to Australian children in close proximity to their home.

What does QuoCCA provide?

The QuoCCA website provides health professionals with tools and links to information for using with families as well as for informing clinical practice. The Education and Training section offers a range of e-learning modules, available on the Paediatric Palliative Care Education Hub. These include:

  • Palliative care for children and young people (overview module)
  • Communicating with families about children who have life-limiting conditions
  • Fundamentals of paediatric palliative care for allied health
  • Child safety and child protection in paediatric palliative care.
