Paying for Services

You may need to pay for some of your care services. Find out more about subsidised care. To get started here we list some resources that can be useful for everyone as well as resources developed for specific population groups.

For everyone

If you need support with financial matters the Services Australia website has information and financial information service officers that can give you information and education about managing your finances. This is a free service.

Older people

Understanding the Cost of Aged Care can be difficult. Visit the My Aged Care website for more information.

Rural and remote areas

Living rural and remote may cause extra financial strain, particularly as you may need to travel for treatment and take long periods away from your property. Services Australia website has information about payments and services for rural and remote Australians.

Veterans

When you receive services funded by DVA, you may be eligible for a supplement to cover any additional care costs associated with your palliative care diagnosis. Visit the Department of Veteran's Affairs to learn more.
