Education Modules

About the Modules

The education modules are designed to assist clinical staff working in acute hospitals in delivering end-of-life care. They provide clinically relevant and evidence based learning materials with quizzes, evidence based links and educational videos. Clinicians are encouraged to examine their own practice and build on their individual expertise across a wide range of issues which are fundamental to quality end-of-life care in hospitals.

Doctors, nurses and allied health professionals will find specific resources and learning opportunities within each module for their own professional perspective.

They are free to use. They can be accessed on the web from anywhere in Australia.

The following six modules are now available. If you want to find out more about what’s covered in a particular module click on the link.

Getting Started

Getting started is easy! You go to the CareSearch Learning Management System. Here you register for the Learning System and create your login.  You will use this login each time you return to the module or if you choose to do another module.

Once registered, your own personal dashboard will be created and you can choose the module you want to begin. The dashboard also holds news items and keeps a record of modules you have completed. After completion of a module you can print a certificate for a record of potential CPD achievement.
