Carers Week 2013: New resources for Patients, Carers and Families
Carers Week 2013 runs from 13 - 19 October and supports, celebrates, and raises awareness for carers and caring in Australia. Carers provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have a chronic condition, terminal illness, who are frail aged or have other physical and mental concerns. This year's theme is Be Care Aware: Take a break for carers
To celebrate Carers Week, CareSearch is releasing its new Patients, Carers and Families pages. These have been completely reviewed, updated, and re-written with the guidance and support of an advisory group comprising consumer representatives and those working to support carers in their role. The pages are written specifically for people who need trustworthy, easy-to-understand palliative care information during a difficult time.
