Mission Statement
Achieving improved quality of care for patients through access, awareness and quality use of palliative care medicines in the community through clinical studies.
The Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative (PaCCSC) is a research group that consists of a Coordinating Agency; Flinders University of South Australia, a governance structure including a Management Advisory Board (MAB), and a number of organisations that will be collaboratively involved in Phase 3 and Phase 4 clinical medication studies.
Funding Source
PaCCSC is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing under the National Palliative Care Program.

Coordinating Site Staff
Ms Tania Shelby-James (National Manager)
Tania is responsible for budget and finance, contracts, reporting, infrastructure (such as committee structures), monitoring, protocol development, and general overall management of the collaborative. Tania is the important interface between the sites, investigators, funding body, and regulatory authorities.
Ms Belinda Fazekas (Project Officer)
Belinda’s main areas of responsibility are to implement the study protocols, ethics submissions, form design, data management and reporting of site progress. Belinda will be involved in working with each site to undertake recruitment and maintain trial requirements.
Ms Maree Tumbas (Administration Officer)
Maree is responsible for all secretariat duties of PaCCSC, invoicing and paying bills, tracking and circulating documents, and general office support to ensure the smooth progress of the collaborative.
