There are many different types of information in the CareSearch website. Knowing what you are looking for and how CareSearch is organised will help you find what you need more quickly. CareSearch is a collection of information pages on palliative care topics, databases of various literature resources, and sets of functions and tools for use by those involved in palliative care. While content pages are available to all visitors, some materials may be more useful to some groups of users than others.
There are factsheets for some of the groups involved in palliative care. They summarise the specific resources for these groups in CareSearch. You can find these Factsheets in Promotional Resources section.
Structure of the website
There are nine main sections in the website. You can see these in the first menu bar on the left of the screen. They are:

How to get around
There are three main ways to find you way around CareSearch:
Side bar menu:
On the left hand side of the screen you will find a double bar menu. The outside menue relates to the nine major sections within the website. Clicking on one of these sections opens up the menu specifically related to that section. Clicking on those topics will pull up the specific content page.
Breadcrumbs
At the top of the screen you may notice a series of page titles. They are called breadcrumbs. They are showing you the pathway you took to get to that page or piece of information.
Quick links
Quick links are another type of navigation that take you directly to popular pages or starting points. You can find them on the home page.
Site Map
The site map provides you with a summary of everything that is found in the website. The site map lays out the structure of the website. Clicking on the topic of interest will take you to that webpage or resource.
Search function:
You can use the search box at the top right of the web page to put in a term to describe what you are looking for. For example if you enter "pain" it will provide a list of pages that have pain as part of their content.
