Knowledge Network project staff

The Knowledge Network project team consists of the following:

Staff Profiles

Jennifer is the Network Director for the Knowledge Network Project. As the Director, Jennifer's role is to manage the project and the project team. Prior to Knowledge Network, Jennifer was involved with CareSearch and also has extensive experience in working within the government, community and education sectors.

Ruth Murton is the Web Content Officer for the project and is responsible for transferring material into the web environment. She also works with our IT partner, Morton Blacketer, on functional issues relating to the various systems in the website. Ruth also worked as the Research Assistant for the Knowledge Network scoping project in 2004.

Natasha is the Projects Marketing Coordinator. Natasha's role is to coordinate all marketing activities for the project as it transforms from CareSearch to the Knowledge Network. Prior to this role, Natasha worked in various advertising agencies as an Account Manager and also as a Media Assistant.

Dr Christine Sanderson is a Research Officer on the Knowledge Network Project team. Chris is a doctor who specialises in palliative care and works part-time for the project developing pages for the CareSearch website.

Gail Dooley is the Finance and Administrative Assistant for the project. She has a background in the Education system working as a finance officer.

Andrew Lyons-Reid is the Team's Literature Collections Officer. He is responsible for gathering, seeking permissions and adding conference abstracts, journals, grey literature and thesis and treatises to our Literature Collections database.
Dr Catherine Burns is a Research Officer with the project. Kate is responsible for producing materials and resources for the website on a part time basis with a specific focus on carers pages. Kate has a social work background and has recently completed her PhD looking at patient and caregiver perceptions of treatment and support services over time.

Ruth Sladek brings experience in teaching different evidence based practice skills to health professionals. With a background in medical librarianship and public health, she has completed a PhD exploring the role of cognitive factors and implementation strategies targeting behavioural change among doctors. In her role as part-time researcher with the project, she is investigating ways to incorporate research evidence into the design and evaluation of the Network.

Deb Rawlings works for the Knowledge Network as a Research Officer. Deb is a Registered Nurse with oncology and palliative care experience and works on the KN Project half time in projects and research activities.

Desley Reid-Orr works for the team on a part time basis and is responsible for pulling together resources and information for various parts of the project. Desley has a background in libraries and information work a Librarian and puts these skills to good use in gathering information for the project.

Cameron Shepherd is assisting in various research and project activities including survey analysis, bibliographic analysis and qualitative analysis.
