Allied Health and COVID-19 resources

COVID-19 has been identified as a key issue for health and aged care. The Australian Government has adopted a whole of government emergency response which provides a framework for preparing for, responding to and managing COVID-19 in Australia.

The allied health workforce will be involved in many different settings in providing direct care. This can involve care for people with palliative care needs and care for COVID-19 patients. Preventing COVID-19 infections is a critical part of providing care for all patients, clients and residents.

Links to some of the key COVID-19 resources for allied health are included here. Variations in guidance between countries, states and health networks may occur. Please refer to local guidance where available and consider non-pharmacological and pharmacological approaches as appropriate.
