For health professionals

Three online education modules are aimed at educating registered nurses about the caring@home resources and how they can be used to teach carers to help manage breakthrough symptoms safely using subcutaneous medicines.

  • Module 2A and 2B - Teaching carers/families to help manage breakthrough symptoms using subcutaneous medicines

For Aboriginal health workers

The online education module for Aboriginal Health Workers (AHWs) familiarises AHWs with the caring@home resources and how they can be used to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and carers to manage symptoms at home, or on Country.

Expected outcomes

The caring@home education modules for registered nurses will support community-based services to improve symptom control by integrating carers into the multidisciplinary team and supporting them to help manage breakthrough symptoms safely using subcutaneous medicines.
