Critical Analysis

Professional learning occurs every day as part of practice. One common form is reading journal articles. Not only can this help to further knowledge in a particular area, it can also facilitate evidence based practice. However, it is important to consider whether the information being reported in the article is of sufficient quality to inform and perhaps change your current practices.

Critical analysis involves interpreting and assessing the information that you are reading. Having a formal framework within which to do this can make this process easier to understand.
