Nurses require a range of skills and competencies to provide high-quality palliative care.
This section provides access to a range of education and resources that can help nurses develop the skills and knowledge used in practice across different healthcare settings. Many of these might be integrated into ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs.
Caring for people with palliative care needs can be physically and emotionally challenging. To effectively care for others, you need to care for yourself. Recognising and resolving feelings of distress (personal and in colleagues) and knowing how to how to seek help, if required, can help prevent burnout. You will find support for self-care in this section.
