Ethical principles and issues when conducting research involving vulnerable family members following the death of a child in the family

This session will focus on ethical principles involved in social research: respect for persons; beneficence; and justice and their particular application to research with bereaved parents. It will also examine the particular ethical issues involved and the processes of gaining ethics approval. The session will encourage participants to engage in general discussion on ethical issues involved in bereavement research
