Bereavement at the Bar: A men’s only support group model

Bereavement at the Bar is an open support group program for bereaved men run by the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement. The aim of the program is to provide a supportive and informal environment that allows men to express their grief in both instrumental and intuitive ways. The informal setting at the hotel relieves the pressure on formal conversations and allows for friendships to develop in a safe space where information about grief from a man’s perspective is shared.
