A series of 15 patients with recurrent or disseminated carcinoma of cervix treated with PVB was surveyed. Patients were assessed for objectives and subjective improvement from treatment and this related to site of recurrence and time to death. Significantly symptomatic palliation was obtained in approximately half the patients. The most significant objective responses were obtained with lung metastases. There was no statistical increase in survival time of responders. All but one patient have died.
