Throughout history and work in the fields of bereavement and loss, the word “process” has become a permanent fixture of both professional dialogues and clinical interactions.  We understand that the “process” has no time frame, but in our perpetual perseverance to serve, have we validated the meaning of the expressive component? Validated that for ourselves and our patients or clients. Equine assisted, art, movement and journaling are components that allow for expression of grief and loss, when verbalizations are too difficult.  It spans the developmental levels and across ages by metaphorical representations, allowing our clients to define reality of their grief.  Through an interactive environment, participants will gain applicable knowledge regarding equine assisted grief counselling and creative arts, obtain tools that are used with or without equine assistance and understand the importance of creating environments where the “process” can be the clients.  This session offers practitioners practical foundations of implementation and proven methodology, developed through the Mane Support Model and a humbling career of learning from children and families.
