The information and resources provided within the nurses [HUB] have been developed and / or collated to support nurses in their practice. They are not intended to provide specific answers to questions, nor will they provide prescriptions or templates for practice. They are intended to prompt nurses to further explore ideas and concepts and to examine their existing practice

It is each individuals’ professional responsibility to judge any information and its’ applicability in the clinical context. Nothing can take the place of a comprehensive assessment of patient and carer needs, and of the usual processes that follow these assessments in providing individualised care.

Information may change from time to time. This may be because further research is developed and becomes available. It may also change, as practice often does, according to what is available locally (eg, particular medications) and the experience and expertise of local health professionals.
