Once a conference abstract has been accepted for inclusion in the CareSearch Grey Literature, it is scheduled for evaluation. The evaluation is designed to provide some assessment as to the type of the work being presented at the conference. It will indicate if the presentation deals with a study and the type of study.
Each abstract is assigned to two reviewers who have indicated self-identified areas of expertise and interest. Evaluation of the abstract is carried on through an online program. If the two reviews are in agreement, the evaluation is then released to the website. Where there is disagreement, a third evaluator is assigned.
The format of the online evaluation is outlined in the Conference abstracts: Evaluation proforma and guidance.
